iPhone Day is Here!

Even though the phone does not go on sale until 6:00 pm local time this evening, around a dozen or so people were waiting in line at the Shadyside Apple store this morning at 7:30 am.

EDIT: Well, this evening driving home from work I went past the Apple Shadyside store. I'm not a great estimator of crowds, but I'd have to say well over a hundred lined up at around 5:45pm. Hope they all got their phone, I'll be trying next month.

Hawaiian Fest

Was in Altoona over the weekend, had a great time at Dr. Bill's house for Hawaiian Fest and a goodbye party.

Pirates Game

My Dad, sister and I went to a baseball game game yesterday. Pirates beat the Chicago White Sox 8-7. The highlight of the game was a Jason Bay over the wall game-saving catch that robbed Jim Thome of a three-run homer in the ninth.



It was nice afternoon with lots of sun that made it feel as if it were in upper nineties (I think the real temp was mid-eighties). I bought a $4.75 diet Coke and my sister Julia got a 3 or 4 dollar bottle a water. I posted some photos up on flickr.
